Day 20 new class

I can't seem to get it together enough to do classes in the morning no matter how hard I try. Sigh. So I didn't make it to the gym yesterday at all. Fab-u-lous.

Tonight I tried a new class, bodyflow. It's a yoga, tai-chi, pilates mix class. It was ok. Not as awesome as zumba but what can I expect. My favorite part was the relaxation at the end. I'd do it again just for that. I think a big part of my problem was not knowing AT ALL what I was doing. Also didn't help that I was late to class so I couldn't ask about it either.

Anyway, I think I've been overdoing it a little lately and it's stopped being something I enjoy as much. So I will be switching it to maybe 3 days a week instead of 5. We'll see how that goes for a while and maybe I'll be able to add in more days later on. After I build myself back up again...

So I don't know if I'll go tomorrow or not. Saturday I'm playing racquetball with Ry, N & J. That should be fun!

Now I'm back! Day 19

So I got WAY off towards the end of last week when I got sick and I couldn't seem to get it together again to go until today. I went by myself and did 30 minutes on the elliptical. Partly I didn't want to kill myself after missing 5 days and partly because I forgot my water and was dying the entire time! So tomorrow I'm hoping to get in the morning zumba class and pick right back up from there. Oh how I miss my zumba! I'll keep you posted! ;)

Day 18

On Tuesday I opted to skip the gym all together. I was on my feet all day making and canning applesauce and apple pie filling and I just needed to go to bed. I was so glad yesterday, it was good to just rest and regain my energy.

Last night A and I went and I did 10 min on the elliptical and then we hit the pool. It felt great! We were in there for about 25-30 min swimming laps. Then we jumped in the hot tub to relax before heading home. Where I was instantly asleep. :) I'm not sure what the plan is tonight but I'm definitely going...

Day 17!

Why does it feel like I've been going for longer than I have? Tonight I went with C and we did an hour on the elliptical while watching Gone in 60 seconds. Pretty good work out movie.

Tomorrow I've got plans for zumba with K and hopefully T & C. Anyone else is welcome to join us...

I'm also going to try and get in some free weight stuff at some point tomorrow.

Day 16 success!

I eventually made it to the gym yesterday. We got there about an hour before they closed so we didn't have a lot of time but enough. My sister A took me through her normal free weights work out.

All I can say is OW! We did these crazy lower ab exercises that were SO hard, lunges ( I HATE LUNGES!) some arm work and then we played a little R-ball. Today I can't sit down or stand up without grimacing. Thank you lunges.

So I'm back to the grind on Monday but I'm thinking maybe I'll incorporate some of A's work out in my regular gym week just to change it up a bit.

And of course with family around all weekend, I've been horrible about eating...why does it have to taste SO good?!

AAHHHH! Jinxed

So I had plans for Thursday to go three times. I went 0! I decided to skip the morning class in favor of sleep. Noah slept in til 930 for the first time in his life so I took it and ran! Then the 530 was canceled because A didn't have a sitter and 1030 was too late for C, she also opted for sleep. I was planning on going by myself at 1030 but about 8ish I started feeling pretty crappy so I went to bed early and had higher hopes for Friday.

Friday I wanted to go with my sister, A when she got into town but it was too late. This morning we were going to hit up zumba but it's virtually impossible to get out of the house at a decent time when you have 7 people running around. SO...we're going tonight! For sure. Man, I sucked this week. Better luck next time.

And now I know, if I want to go to the gym, DO NOT make plans to go thrice. :) It won't work to go any of them if you do.

Day 15

Tonight I went with A and C and did an hour on the elliptical. Legendary was playing in the cardio cinema so we watched that. Pretty good movie although I didn't see it all. It felt really good to go tonight. All day my legs have been super sore from my killer workouts yesterday so it helped to warm them up again and stretch out.

Tomorrow I'm off so I'm going to try and squeeze in another big day. I want to try BodyStep (step aerobics basically) at 830 in the morning, then I am meeting A at 530 and I'm thinking maybe we'll try a weights/abs only workout. It might be easier on her knee... and at 1030 I'm meeting C and possibly AB (haven't even run it by her yet) for some elliptical or the like.

So...we'll see how it all works out. I might bail on somebody... :( I'm going to try and keep all of them though.

Day 14...overkill?

I did zumba tonight at 730 with K. It was a lot of fun and I'm glad I went. Then I went back to do an hour on the treadmill with AB and C. I also did some sit ups and lat pulls. I may have overdone it...

So we'll see how tomorrow goes. :)

I felt pretty awesome today when I went in and the guy at the desk didn't have to scan my card because he recognized me! That's how I know I'm doing it right. ♥

Day 13

Well, I jumped back on the wagon and went last night with A! We did an hour on the elliptical and it felt great! I have plans tonight with C and possibly AB. I also have plans with A for tomorrow night. It's good to be back. :) Maybe I can even hit up zumba tonight before my hour long elliptical marathon...
